Job description

A US-based company focused on creating long-term ecosystems around open source projects is looking for a Back-End Golang Engineer. The engineer will be taking a feature or problem statement, then scope, break down, and estimate an effective solution. The company is on a mission to enhance open source technology's sustainability, security, and diversity to speed technology development and industry adoption. Developers who enjoy working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment would be a good fit for this role. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot, and mentor other developers
  • Understand the design, architectural, and software patterns
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues
  • Work closely with product managers, product designers, and other engineers to conceptualize, build and test new features

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Prolific experience working with AWS, API Gateway, and Serverless Framework
  • Extensive experience with NodeJS, Golang, and SQL
  • Solid experience with CI/CD Pipelines like CircleCI, Gitlab CI, and Jenkins
  • Strong knowledge of Microservices, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), API Design, Contract-first Design, and CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation)
  • Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning is nice to have
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
