Job description

An NYSE-listed company determined to bring and optimize energy consumption solutions to business through its distributed storage technology is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will play a critical role in the decision-making process and roadmap of a new product. The company is tapping into the power of advanced technology to revolutionize the energy storage solutions industry. This will be a full-time position. The company has managed to securely raise more than $550 mn in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver cloud-based solutions on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes and other high-end technology platforms
  • Build microservices architecture in Python or Java, integrating with APIs from 3rd party providers
  • Use AWS cloud services to accelerate developer productivity and product quality
  • Participate in daily virtual standups and brainstorming sessions 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience designing and developing cloud-based applications
  • Extensive experience with Python and/or Java
  • Demonstrable knowledge of modern deployment stacks like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of machine learning platforms
  • Familiar with microservices and Restful APIs
  • Prior experience working with SQL and other data stores
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Previous experience writing APIs and microservices
  • Nice to have experience with the AWS Cloud Services
  • Knowledge of containerized Docker apps and/or Kubernetes
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
