Job description

A rapidly growing company revolutionizing client loyalty by enabling businesses to offer premium subscriptions on their storefronts is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for cooperating successfully with product teams and technical experts to achieve product objectives and provide creative solutions. The company helps its clients to boost revenue and customer experience with a paid loyalty program on the online store. This will be a long-term, full-time role that requires some overlap with the PST time zone. The company has managed to raise close to $3 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the team to write automation tests, understand requirements, build solutions, deliver functionality, and build continuous delivery pipelines
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals to meet product requirements and build innovative solutions
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot and upgrade the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of AWS
  • Familiarity with DynamoDB and Lambda
  • Experience with EC2 and RDS 
  • Knowledge of RDS and API Gateway 
  • Knowledge of Cognito, Eventbridge, and S3
  • Experience implementing and ingesting APIs
  • Experience creating webhooks
  • Knowledge of database structure and architecture
  • Experience with SNS and SQS is a plus
  • Knowledge of Step Functions, Cloudfront, and Cloudwatch is nice to have
  • Experience building and managing internal and/or external analytics systems is a plus
  • Some experience with React is desirable
  • Proficiency in English
