Job description

A US-based company that reduces waste and contributes to creating a more sustainable world is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for participating in architectural, design, and product discussions. The company is committed to creating solutions that will transform the industry and fulfill the basic needs of people. Job Responsibilities:

  • Create software products that can run in the cloud
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and participate in discussions about architecture, design, and products
  • Generate RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption
  • Work in an Agile environment with an excellent engineering team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of how to build and use RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with version control like git and svn
  • Experience deploying Python applications into production
  • Proficiency in Python and Django 
  • Familiarity with MySQL, AWS, Git, Redis, React, and RDBMS 
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure is a plus
  • Previous working experience with PCI Compliance products, Microservices, and Serverless is nice to have
  • Self-motivated, team player comfortable in a high-growth environment
  • Energetic with an engaging personality
  • Track record of over-achievement is desirable
  • Passion to build high-quality products
  • Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in English
