Job description

A US-based company building a connected vehicle platform to help customers access data about vehicles and their use, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be tasked with improving the platform’s performance to drive growth and engagement. The company is providing real benefits to businesses and their drivers by providing them with whatever they need to track and manage their fleets. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a telematics data platform for extracting business insights from large-scale, complex IoT data
  • Work in an agile and fast-moving team and be interested in a high-responsibility, high-impact role
  • Contribute to data platform across the entire development cycle
  • Build architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Perform cross-functional collaboration on challenging technical problems involving large-scale telematics data

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience with Python and SQL
  • Must have experience with AWS serverless or Lambda in production
  • Prior experience with AWS serverless computing (Step Functions, SAM)
  • Experience with AWS Cloudformation, RDS, S3 is preferred
  • Experience with numpy/pandas and deploying complex backends
  • Nice to have experience with large scale data processing in production
  • Demonstrable experience with large scale data processing in production
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
