Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company simplifying the process for users to acquire and purchase cars is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will work with the Billing and Payments Systems team and will be responsible for discovering and fixing performance-related issues. The company is helping potential car sellers and buyers to review service records, vehicle history reports, and all other ownership info. It has raised $500 mn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work and deliver products in an agile environment
  • Design robust, secure and maintainable features 
  • Actively analyze platform performance and take decisions to make necessary improvements
  • Identify and fix performance-related issues
  • Identify and drive enhancements in systems to support collaboration and productivity\
  • Act as a key contributor in the development of workflows and service level requirements

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience with Python
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking ability
  • Experience building systems for scale to handle high volume transactions
  • Fluent in written and spoken English communication
