Job description

A rapidly-growing company on a mission to build holistic and pocket-friendly healthcare solutions is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be tasked with optimizing and scaling the existing application for maximum speed and scalability. The company is leveraging the benefits of AI technology to get insights on people's health and then guide them to natural solutions. This will be a long-term, full-time position that requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the team to write automation tests, understand requirements, build solutions, deliver functionality, and build continuous delivery pipelines
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals to meet product requirements and build innovative solutions
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot and upgrade the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Must have knowledge of Go and Node.js
  • Knowledge of AI and ML is nice to have
  • Ability to work well in a small team, with high accountability and reliability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Detail-oriented, strong communicator, and capable of multitasking
