Job description

A global company building a reporting and analytics platform that serves customers worldwide and delivers a centralized view of trading, operations, surveillance, etc., is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that use Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies. The platform enables clients to easily solve some of their most pressing regulatory challenges while leveraging AI and combining deep industry expertise with high-performance computing. During their Series B round, the company raised more than $40mn in funding. This will be a long-term position that will involve working with a vast team to test and implement high-value solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers, product managers, and engineers to elicit requirements and create new features
  • Drive the product from conception to deployment with a strong emphasis on performance, security, quality, and scalability
  • Utilize complex solutions that leverage AI and Machine Learning to make an immediate impact in the financial services industry
  • Work with UI engineers to integrate user-facing elements into the back-end
  • Participate in all phases of software development
  • Recognize and resolve back-end issues quickly and efficiently
  • Offer production assistance and work through the entire SDLC, engaging with customers to ensure the solution is meeting defined goals

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Should be comfortable interacting with customers for requirement optimization and validation
  • Must have experience designing and developing large scale distributed systems
  • Experience in developing secure applications is required
  • Proficiency in core Java (Sprint Boot, Hibernate/ORM, JDBC, REST) is a must
  • Experience with micro-service design and development is required
  • Experience working with Elasticsearch is a must
  • Experience with relational databases like Oracle DB is required
  • Graph database experience is nice to have
  • Knowledge of ReactJS is a plus
  • Capable of quickly learning and implementing new technologies
  • Strong communication skills are required
