Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is developing a unique on-demand healthcare marketplace for facilities, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The developer will be responsible for owning key features or subsystems of the platform. The US-based platform connects nursing institutions in need of staffing with the right personnel and clinicians looking for open shifts. They have managed to use more than $620K in funding so far. This is an excellent opportunity for developers who enjoy solving challenging problems while working in small, cross-functional teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality code from new feature requests and functions
  • Create new user-interface features
  • Develop and maintain reusable components for later use
  • Optimize the components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Excited to start a business from the ground up
  • Dedicated to building robust and efficient products

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a backend engineer
  • 4+ years of experience working with React and Node.js (version 10+ experience required)
  • Extensive GraphQL and architecture experience is a must
  • Understanding of business requirements and ability to translate them into technical requirements
  • Take satisfaction in developing user-friendly, data-rich mobile app features
  • Experience with DevOps including deploying code to production and managing staging environments is required
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and React Native is nice to have
  • Automated testing experience is nice to have
  • Expertise in AWS and Elastic Beanstalk is nice to have
  • Attention to detail and fluency in English
