Job description

A fast-growing company that has established itself as the world's most popular music sharing and listening platform is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with preparing and producing the releases of software components and features for the platform. The company has managed to develop an open platform that bridges the distance and puts creators in touch with their fans all around the world. The company has successfully managed to secure $500mn+ in funding so far. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build, develop, and maintain an infrastructure for products that will delight the users
  • Work with large-scale distributed systems, parallel computing, and data science regularly
  • Improve the tools and practices that enable collaboration and productivity frequently
  • Cultivate an environment conducive to learning and growth

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a backend developer
  • Expertise in working with backend languages like Java, Python, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Golang, etc.
  • Must be well-versed with web development best practices, programming techniques, and tools
  • Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases like MS SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.
  • Should possess sound knowledge of utilizing DynamoDB, SpringBoot, and Spring
  • Must have a strong grasp of database integration, data migration, transformation, and scripting
  • Sound knowledge of third-party libraries and APIs
  • Thorough understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js. etc.
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
  • Must be familiar with server-side CSS preprocessors, like LESS and SASS
  • Should possess basic knowledge of CMS framework
  • Knowledge of working with automated testing platforms and unit tests is preferred
