Job description

A US-based company that is determined to bring about a revolutionary transformation in the healthcare system to cater to the needs of women is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The developer will architect, implement, release, and support features that enable the collaborative care model. With the support of an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, designers, technicians, and operators, the company hopes to empower every woman to reach prime health. The company has managed to raise more than $130mn+ during its Series B round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Excel at creating modular software that elegantly separates concerns
  • Design uniform, stateless RESTful APIs that are pragmatic and intuitive
  • Understand communication and collaboration and work hard to achieve shared context
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, product-oriented agile development environment focusing solely on shipping software that has the greatest impact on users and the business
  • Learn from mistakes, viewing them as growth opportunities 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Must have expertise in Node.js, MySQL, and REST API
  • Demonstrable experience building and working with Web apps is a must
  • Experience with SQL, designing schemas, and executing intermediate-level queries is required
  • Demonstrate strong debugging abilities as an inquisitive individual 
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Ruby, or Python is a must
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Solid interest to master your tools and the system you're developing
