Job description

A US-based company developing an employee rewards app to encourage productivity and longevity is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will own and deliver engineering objectives and ensure that the completed projects meet and exceed company goals. The employment platform is designed to assist franchises and businesses save money on turnover by increasing shift worker retention and lowering staff turnover. The company has managed to raise $8mn+ during their Seed round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems across the company's engineering stack
  • Shape the technical foundation for future new products, sustained growth, and high availability standards
  • Deliver architecture and data environment that supports a test and learn approach to business problems
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
  • Think ahead and plan for both the short and long term

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must have experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with Python, Puppeteer, and Serverless is nice to have
  • Must have experience building bots/crawlers/scrapers, and RPA
  • Ability to create bots to crawl the websites
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent team player with the ability to function as an individual contributor
