Job description

A US-based company on a mission to bring game-changing technology in embedded payments for vertical software businesses is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading the applications. The company is building an all-in-one platform to capitalize and accelerate direct-to-consumer e-commerce growth by helping businesses to identify opportunities within embedded payments for growth, innovation, and transformation. The company has managed to raise $70mn+ during their Series A round of funding. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring 5+ hours overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside cross-functional teams for building easy to understand solutions
  • Comprehend project requirements and implement solutions
  • Understand essentials and carry on an agreed schedule
  • Script reusable and efficient codes
  • Look into regular code reviews for improving and evolving applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Backend engineer
  • Must possess expertise in utilizing languages like PHP
  • Knowledge of working with cloud solutions like AWS 
  • Familiarity in integrating and working with payments systems is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Rest APIs is desirable
  • Thorough knowledge of Typescript and Node development is vital
