Job description

A US-based company that has successfully built and retained a rewards program for renters is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be identifying obstacles to critical paths and working cross-functionally to resolve issues. Members can earn incentives by paying rent, which they can use to go on vacations, gym, pay rent, or even buy a home while utilizing the company's services. The company has managed to secure more than $60mn in funding during its Seed round of funding. This will be a long-term, full-time position that requires 6+ hours overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Document the codebase and engage in the knowledge sharing process with other engineers 
  • Optimize the application for faster execution and solve scalability issues 
  • Support and collaborate with a global cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
  • Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL
  • Nice to have some knowledge of JEE 
  • Prior experience working with cloud services like GCP/AWS/Azure is desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be a team player and willing to help other members
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
