Job description

A rapidly-growing automation software that provides recurring revenue and cash forecasting applications is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will work collaboratively to bring the back-end engineering to the forefront of product development and decision-making. The company is led by industry veterans from top enterprises and focuses on delivering the leading edge of machine learning to finance. The selected candidate will design well-structured APIs and build the corresponding endpoints to power the product. This role presents an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to scale machine learning teams. It is a full-time, long-term position requiring an overlap with the Eastern time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable solutions for authentication and authorization
  • Work on data retrieval, aggregations, and external integrations
  • Build infrastructure automation solutions to build, run, and monitor various environments
  • Take charge of the production, testing, and staging platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to set long-term strategy, and nurture engineering teams

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant back-end engineering experience 
  • Solid expertise in Java, Java frameworks such as Spring/Quarkus, and SQL
  • Nice to have some experience in JAX-RS and building relevant product features
  • Strong capability to mentor and lead junior members as the team scales
  • A growing passion for software quality and making decisions to increase customer value
