Job description

A US-based digital platform that builds modern technologies to help eliminate redundant mortgage lending functions is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The developer will be working alongside an exceptional engineering team to build prototypes rapidly and optimize the platform for faster execution. The company is developing next-generation solutions that simplify mortgages for homeowners and help lenders and servicers enhance customer loyalty and retention. This will be a full-time, long-term job for the candidate to build engaging and high-quality products. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in cross-functional teams to build valuable projects 
  • Understand priorities, and make critical trade-offs against operational and technical needs
  • Develop top quality code, practice code reviews, and perform multiple tests in a continuous integration environment
  • Implement new features and scale the overall application performance 
  • Rapidly build prototypes and concepts, integrating with new partners and customers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Django, Python, AWS, and Terraform
  • Demonstrable skills with API design, along with implementing, and evolving data models over time
  • An interest or background in developing exceptional tech solutions 
  • Ability to work independently in a structured way to make progress despite ambiguity
  • Outstanding time-management skills and deadline-oriented
  • Fluent in English and excellent communication skills
