Job description

A US-based cloud security company offering users top-notch encryption and end-to-end security services to protect all systems is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The developer will be responsible for building, enhancing, testing, and deploying new features on the Cloud Security platform. The platform helps businesses to minimize operational complexity, consolidate security providers, and save money. The company has managed to secure funding worth more than $5.5 mn so far. This will be a long-term, full-time role requiring 8+ hours overlap with the CET time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementation of distributed systems
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals 
  • Ship clean, robust, scalable, and maintainable code
  • Design and build other critical back-end features

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience with Golang
  • Demonstrable experience with Rest APIs and Linux
  • Experience with database programming (including triggers, stored procedures, schema versioning, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of data versioning and REST APIs
  • In-depth understanding of transactions (commits, rollback, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Git, issue tracking, merge/pull requests
  • Nice to have prior experience working on distributed transaction processing, distributed locking, high availability
  • Familiarity with public key infrastructure, X509 certificates, and CSRs is nice to have
  • Strong knowledge of IPv6 fundamentals, VPN fundamentals, and Message queues is desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of Docker, public clouds (AWS, GCP, etc.), test automation, and CI/CD workflows is nice to have
