Job description

An active growth equity company collaborating with eminent entrepreneurs across the technology ecosystem is looking to hire a Back-end Engineer. As an engineer within the team, you will be responsible for implementing web services and customer-facing applications at scale for the investors. The company aims to design, develop, and enhance a world-class, highly performant investment management platform and deliver a fast-growing, dynamic entrepreneurial environment for engineers. This is a great chance for the candidate to work in a dedicated investment firm and grow rapidly in their careers.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop and deliver web services and customer-facing applications to boost the investor’s experience
Develop cutting-edge distributed platforms and data pipelines to integrate and crunch data
Foster quick decision making from investors and customers as part of the investment lifecycle
Uphold the application scalability, latency, performance robustness, and cost trade-offs in a cloud-based environment
Work closely with investors to enact new products that will empower smart decisions

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
3+ years of experience working on customer-facing applications
Must be proficient with Java or Scala as well as a scripting language like Python
Experience working on AWS stack and other related cloud technologies
Solid data pipeline experience with a track record of building connectors on proprietary technologies and open-source
Familiarity with back-end server-side technologies including flask, and serverless functions
The ability to work on front-end technologies such as AngularJS and React
Prior experience building and maintaining web scrapers
