Back-End Engineer

A U.S.-based company that is developing open-source software for real-time data replication between databases and data warehouses, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all features and products are updated with the newest market trends and technologies. The company is developing open-source data streaming solutions that use change data capture (CDC) and stream processing to carry out data transfers more effectively and achieve sub-minute latency. Job Responsibilities:

• Build efficient products while juggling changing requirements and ambiguity
• Write scalable, high-quality code while adhering to best practices
• Make sure that the observability and monitoring tools are improved to find problems, assess performance, and generate feedback for developers
• Investigate and fix problems in the test, development, and production environments

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
• Demonstrable experience working with Go and Apache Kafka
• Showcase and adopt a pragmatic approach to software engineering
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
