Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is utilizing state-of-the-art technology to transform consumer experiences and the global mobile market, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the overall application performance enhancement and problem-fixing. The company is revolutionizing how the internet is used on the mobile lock screen, eliminating the need to look for and download apps. So far, the company has managed to successfully raise more than $387mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality production code on schedule and under budget
  • Develop tested, secure, reliable, well-structured code that has few bugs
  • Create instrumentation and unit tests for robustness, taking into account edge cases, usability, and overall reliability
  • Utilize new technologies as they emerge to improve development efficiency, security, and dependability

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • 7+ years of experience working with Java and related technologies
  • 8+ years of experience identifying and carrying out high-impact projects
  • Prolific experience working with Microservices and NoSQL
  • Must be a senior-level architect with practical experience working as a developer
  • Prior experience working on product-level architecture
  • Extensive experience developing distributed systems, any NoSQL DB, and cloud-related architectures
  • Some understanding of Apache Kafka and CI/CD is nice to have
  • Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written
