Job description

A well-established company that is developing a cutting-edge online platform to help communities and individuals to connect with each other, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with analyzing and enhancing the performance of the applications. The U.S.-based company is building communities where people can immerse themselves in discussion and knowledge-sharing through activities centered around their passions, interests, and hobbies. The company has successfully managed to secure $1.2bn+ during their Series F round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work autonomously with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment
  • Fulfill product requirements and develop innovative solutions
  • Architect and build out new capabilities and features on the platform
  • Design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Python
  • Some familiarity with Kafka and Go/Golang is preferred
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Distributed Systems
  • Excellent English communication skills
