Back-End Developer

A well-established company that is providing customers with world-class digital and technology solutions, products, and devices, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for mapping business requirements for architecture and application performance by working with stakeholders. The NYSE-listed company has established itself as the world leader in the field of technology. This is a long-term position requiring 8+ hours of overlap with the IST time zone.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to lead daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives effectively
• Establish the best practices using programmable metrics and parameters
• Contribute to the architectural unit and design for CMS stability
• Design, creation, and documentation of safe, scalable, and maintainable business logic and content/data
• Take part in estimating attempts and dev breakouts
• Work with the QA, business, and functional analyst teams to find errors, troubleshoot them, and track their resolution
• Work closely and directly with the various stakeholders to define, order, and carry out solutions that fulfill a product's needs
• Participate in meetings for creative design and assess decisions made within to identify their viability and system impact
• Make the necessary changes to designs, procedures, and products
• Switch between a technical and creative focus based on the project's needs or kind
• Ability to take the initiative to investigate and learn upcoming technologies, take part in knowledge transfer and cross-training
• Find and support innovative opportunities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
• 4+ years of experience working with Java and Spring
• At least 4+ years of experience working as an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other CMS, including XML template development and asset listener customization, custom Tag Libraries (Tiles, Freemaker)
• 8-12 years of hands-on J2EE and web service integration development experience (Java, Spring, Servlets/JSP on Apache Tomcat, SOAP/REST)
• 6+ years of development experience on a large complex enterprise/global website or application utilizing design patterns
• Demonstrated understanding of application programming, service-oriented architecture (SOA), database, and system design
• Working knowledge of Maven, JUnits, Sonar, and other Java frameworks/tools is nice to have
• Some experience with Spring Security/SAML is preferred 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence peers 
• Fluent in spoken and written English
