Job description

A U.S-based company providing an innovative fractional CTO expert network, making otherwise inaccessible expertise available for clients, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating efficient back-end architecture and features from the ground up. The company works with potential Southeast Asian startups who do not yet have mature technical leadership but wish to collaborate with the best possible engineering executives from Silicon Valley. This position requires an overlap with the Western Indonesia Time Zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop the back-end of an electric vehicle charging network from the ground up
Create a bridge between the API and the mobile app
Line and format the code according to sensible guidelines
Put in place sensible logging to debug outages or critical failures
Make use of tools to detect duplicate code
Integration testing must be developed, and help monitor unit testing aspects that are difficult to test
Build the back-end using serverless (GCP Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda) and deploy them with a Cloud formation/Terraform or equivalent IAC template
Write good code and architecture with minimal oversight

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
5+ years of experience with GCP/AWS Lambda
4+ years of experience with Angular
4+ years of experience with Web API
Experience with Terraform and CI/CD
Familiarity with Go/TypeScript
Expertise in Unit Testing
Knowledge of Swagger
Knowledge of mobile web development is a plus
Proficiency in English
