Job description

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring high criteria for technical scalability, dependability, and reusability. The company firmly believes that everyone should have equal access to possibilities for connection, education, and life improvement. The company has managed to raise $10 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, construct, and enhance APIs, services, and systems
  • Collaborate with non-engineering stakeholders and boost the size of the back-end architecture
  • Ensure high technical standards for scalability, reliability, and reusability
  • Establish the engineering culture and create the architecture for the back-end as an early team member

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Knowledge of web back-ends, databases, and developer tools
  • Experience in architectural patterns of high-scale distributed products/services, such as well-designed APIs, databases, and data pipelines
  • Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product, and marketing
  • An interest in designs
  • Knowledge of Go is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
