Job description

A fast-growing company that is assisting international sports federations to raise target audience engagement and highlight athletes using short-form videos, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for participating in the creation of cutting-edge moment automation software. The platform developed by the company aims to give sports fans a fresh and improved method of easily accessing the most important moments in the game. This position requires an overlap with the EST time zone. The company has managed to raise more than $2mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge moment automation software
  • Make them API-accessible to viewers and customers
  • Dictate the product's direction and design
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot and upgrade the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 3+ years of experience with Python and Django
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Experience with building APIs for complex front-end systems
  • Understanding of unstructured data systems
  • Knowledge of complex distributed systems
  • Experience with Computer Vision/Machine Learning 
  • Knowledge of Web API is a plus
  • Experience with Video transcoding and search is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
