Job description

A U.S.-based company employing advanced AI and quantitative techniques to revolutionize the fintech industry is looking for a Back-End Ruby on Rails Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing new features for the platform while scaling and perfecting the existing features. The company is opening the doors to new investment possibilities and helping users to accumulate wealth with their AI-powered app. This will be a full-time, long-term position requiring 7+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Write server-side web application logic in Ruby to design and develop new applications
  • Analyze existing applications and suggest improvements
  • Develop back-end components and integrate data storage solutions
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and tackle infrastructure-related issues
  • Identify and work on bugs and bottlenecks for optimized performance

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience in Ruby on Rails development
  • Proficient in Test-driven development (TDD) and RESTful APIs
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of containerized applications development
  • Well-versed with Git and version control systems
  • Track record of industry experience in investments, investing, crypto, trading, or similar fintech companies
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, GCP, RabbitMQ, and distributed systems is a plus
  • Nice to have experience in Node.js and Golang
  • Prior experience working on Fintech applications
  • Excellent English communication and analytical skills
