Back-End Developer

A US-based real estate company that helps property owners to handle daily operations related to property management is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will build services and APIs by writing clean and minimal code that can easily be understood. The company has effectively developed a management information system that will fundamentally change the world's largest asset class and raised close to $10 mn in funding so far. This job offers a long-term opportunity and requires 6 hours of overlap with the CT time zone. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the back-end team to build robust and scalable APIs
• Write a clean and understandable code
• Collaborate with the frontend, design, and product teams to solve scalable problems
• Help develop software used by property investors, vendors, tenants, and the operations team
• Work with the team to solve fundamental problems in real estate sales, leasing, accounting, and maintenance coordination

 Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
• Great understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Experience with solving problems and debugging codes
• Knowledge of Java, React, SCSS, MySQL, and AWS
• Experience in GitHub peer reviews, Jira, and Slack
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Passionate about performance, testing, and a desire to learn new technologies
• Be keen on continuous personal and technical improvement
• Ability to strike the optimal balance between rigor and velocity
• Embody empathy, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to think like a user
• Good startup mentality with the readiness to solve big problems with a small team
• Proficiency in English
