Job description

A US-based company helping to build an API for fintech businesses that offer investment services is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with developing back-end services from scratch and contribute to the entire software development lifecycle. The company is on a mission to help build robust infrastructure that will power the next generation of digital investment. They have managed to securely raised $120K+ during their pre-seed round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design scalable systems and platforms 
  • Drive integrations by interacting with broker-dealer and fintech partners
  • Design, construct, test and implement an embedded API and widget system
  • Build APIs with technologies like REST and OpenAPI
  • Develop microservices and apply container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Use engineering best practices for testing, automation, and deployment
  • Set a high standard for execution, both in terms of quality and speed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Extensive experience with Django, Python (or Java), Docker and AWS
  • Demonstrable experience in distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of back-end infrastructure
  • Proven track record of shipping features 
  • Ability to organize tasks autonomously 
  • Passion for the Fintech industry is preferred
  • Nice to have experience with Ledgers/Fintech databases
  • Prior experience building REST APIs (for internal or external users) and OpenAPI is nice to have
  • Familiarity with South American markets
