Job description

A US-based company building a highly personal product that enables people to become more productive is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with optimizing the platform for faster execution and solving scalability issues. The company is building a highly personal product that will fundamentally change the paradigm of how people interact with their devices and data. The company has managed to raise more than $3mn during their Seed round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Mentor other engineers, take ownership and create an impact
Help define the engineering roadmap and system architecture
Build the foundational components
Scale the culture of the engineering excellence and solve complex problems
Build the company as well as the product
Take ownership and ensure that tasks are completed on time
Break major issues down into a system that can be tested, scaled, and improved
Build models and infrastructure for stream data processing, ML training, and graph manipulation
Present the data models as simple and efficient APIs

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
3+ years of experience working with Python, Data Modelling, and Sinatra
Nice to have some knowledge of data engineering and Ruby on Rails
Experience with building and debugging distributed systems
Great communication skills
Impeccable skills to collaborate with the smaller teams
