Job description

A US-based company building a highly personal product that enables people to become more productive is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with optimizing the platform for faster execution and solving scalability issues. The company is building a highly personal product that will fundamentally change the paradigm of how people interact with their devices and data. The company has managed to raise more than $3mn during their Seed round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Mentor other engineers, take ownership and create an impact
  • Help define the engineering roadmap and system architecture
  • Build the foundational components
  • Scale the culture of the engineering excellence and solve complex problems
  • Build the company as well as the product
  • Take ownership and ensure that tasks are completed on time
  • Break major issues down into a system that can be tested, scaled, and improved
  • Build models and infrastructure for stream data processing, ML training, and graph manipulation
  • Present the data models as simple and efficient APIs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python, Data Modelling, and Sinatra
  • Nice to have some knowledge of data engineering and Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with building and debugging distributed systems
  • Great communication skills
  • Impeccable skills to collaborate with the smaller teams
