Job description

A US-based company developing a travel and navigation application that aims to help users save money on fuel is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of converting product requirements into functionality. The company's advanced technology enables users to quickly find the cheapest and closest gas stations, thereby helping them to maximize savings. They have managed to securely raise more than $3.5K during their Seed round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly product development cycles
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to assist in building high-quality products
  • Develop scalable, low-latency, and high-performing services
  • To troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software, use a holistic, test-oriented approach
  • Develop scalable, responsive, and well-documented stacks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Node.js and PostgreSQL
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Exceptional problem-solving attitude with excellent leadership skills
