Job description

An innovative, fast-growing startup on a mission to build an amazing financial product is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be playing a key role in building and maintaining the company’s product infrastructure. The company has developed features and tools to help people manage their finances and passively grow their wealth. This will be a full-time role requiring some overlap with the PST time zone.  


Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards
  • Work closely with the product management and design teams to define feature requirements 
  • Write unit tests and build reusable codes and libraries for future use 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • 2-5+ years of release management and/or project management experience
  • 2-5+ years experience with AWS code build and code deploy pipeline
  • Experience with building scripts and using scripting tools
  • Experience with Git or similar source code repository
  • Experience building solutions on AWS services (Lambda, Codepipeline, etc.)
  • Expertise Java or other JVM-based languages
  • Ability to create reliable and performant code
  • Experience working in an agile development environment (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban preferred)
  • Knowledge in code branching strategies
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and system design
