Job description

A well-established company revolutionizing the finance sector and active in the crypto space is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will get the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled engineering team, along with designing and developing the next generation of scalable systems for the cryptocurrency platform. The NASDAQ-listed company is committed to building efficient technology that makes it easier for users to buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrency. The platform has managed to secure funding worth $545 mn+ so far. This role offers a long-term, full-time opportunity and requires at least 6 hours of overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team to build meaningful and high-quality crypto-forward products and features
Solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems
Reconcile the constraints caused by web-scale applications and blockchain technology
Help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe
Operate real-time applications with high frequency and low latency updates
Handle the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud
Build modern services to meet important business and product-focused needs
Design scalable systems to tackle challenging problems, leveraging on best-in-class cloud technologies
Implement strategies and a long term vision for maintaining and scaling the back-end systems and teams
Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to visualize and implement quarterly, tangible roadmaps
Write high-quality, well tested customer-oriented code

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant Golang experience
At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
Track record of designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
Sound knowledge on composing a service-oriented architecture
Proficiency with Ruby, Docker, Rails, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB
Previous expertise in payments, credit risk, or financial regulatory systems is desired
Passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
Prior startup experience in a fast-paced environment
Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
Expertise with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)
Competency in decomposing a large monolith into microservices
Skilled at building financial, high reliability, or security systems
