Job description

A fast-growing online storefront for rental businesses, working towards becoming the best in the industry, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be building the next generation of software for the equipment and event rental industry. The US-based advanced software company allows independent rental enterprises to accept customer orders and payments online while offering complete control over inventory and scheduling. This will be a full-time role requiring some overlap with the EST/PST time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the complete life-cycle of the product, from conception to completion, including planning, coding, testing, and distribution
  • Consider non-functional requirements while designing with a performance-first approach
  • Meet the roadmap's objectives by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from design, engineering, product, and sales

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Prolific skills with PHP (7.0 and above)
  • Exposure to the Laravel Framework
  • Strong Docker and Docker-compose experience
  • Experience working with Relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Prior experience working with Linux is desirable
  • Strong Communication skills in English
