Job description

A US-based technology company that has built a metadata tool to help companies achieve comprehensive data management, is looking for a Back-end Developer. The developer will be helping the existing team to build the ingestion framework for Datahub. The company aims to help push data teams achieve extreme productivity while using trusted, compliant data through a next generation metadata platform. The company has managed to raise $9mn in funding so far and is helping businesses organize, search and discover insights from its vast data pool. The role requires some PST time zone overlap. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Connect front-end elements with server-side logic and features for efficient functionality
  • Work closely alongside engineering (primarily front-end engineers) and products teams to deliver high quality products 
  • Undertake optimization tasks to ensure quick fast execution and resolve scalability related problems
  • Design and integrate security features and data protection protocols
  • Ideate, build and develop APIs, data storage solutions and other projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in back-end development
  • Proficient with Python programming language
  • Experience in using modern data tools like Airflow, dbt, great expectations, Jupyter notebook, etc.
  • Experience of using front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is preferred
  • Experience with React would be a plus
  • Should have knowledge about database administration, scripting, data migration, backup and authorization
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with fluency in English
