Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing ground-breaking AI technologies and generative AI models that will influence the course of human history, is looking for a Back-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining APIs while challenging everything by raising doubts, exercising critical thought, and looking for fresh angles to spur innovation. With the help of the company's cutting-edge platform, AI Tech Leaders can measure, evaluate, and optimize the costs of their AI infrastructure, software, and staff in addition to having total visibility into their overall AI spend. This position requires a significant overlap with the GMT +2 time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the SaaS web application's back-end components
  • Hit the ground running, effectively finish the duties at hand, and then focus on product development 
  • To comprehend requirements and achieve results, work with cross-functional teams that include product managers, front-end developers, and DevOps engineers
  • Test-driven development standards should be followed while writing clean, maintainable, and effective code to ensure that quality work is provided quickly and with responsibility
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews, take part in technical discussions, and adopt an intellectually humble and open mindset to encourage a learning atmosphere
  • Create scalable back-end microservices in Python, and manage them effectively 
  • Keep abreast with the most recent developments in back-end technology, in line with the startup's ethos of always pushing the envelope

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4-6+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Prolific experience working on web development
  • Extensive experience working with Python and related technologies
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Prior experience building scalable systems while designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of testing frameworks and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of version control programs like Git
  • Prior knowledge of the FastAPI framework for creating APIs is desirable
  • In-depth understanding of SQL Alchemy to interact with SQL databases is nice to have
  • Extensive familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools like Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker is desirable
  • Familiarity with message brokers and event-driven architectures like RabbitMQ, Redis, and Kafka is preferred
  • Familiarity with distributed task queue libraries like Celery is nice to have
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is desirable
  • Prior exposure to front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, operate in an agile development environment, and meet deadlines while producing high-quality code
  • Ability to meet timelines and work quickly
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
