Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a platform for hiring truck drivers that is entirely centered on drivers and their requirements, is looking for an Automation Engineer. The engineer will be expected to possess and apply sound technical and procedural guidelines while working with a dynamic cross-functional team. The company is rapidly establishing itself as the market leader with their patent-pending matching technology for the transportation industry. The company has managed to secure $4.2mn+ during their Series A round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing APIs, webhooks, and third-party platforms like Zapier and Cyclr, create and develop connections across diverse software applications and systems
  • Create and maintain workflows and automation processes that boost data accuracy, operational efficiency, and business process scalability
  • Integrities and workflows should undergo comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure smooth and error-free operation
  • Mentor young engineers in all facets of planning, creation, and testing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an Automation Engineer
  • 1+ years of experience working with JavaScript
  • Prolific experience using some automation tools (maker, Zapier, and similar)
  • Some front-end UI development experience, particularly with JavaScript
  • Demonstrable experience working with APIs/Webhooks for automation
  • Solid experience with Airtable automation
  • Nice to have extensive experience with CRM integrations and workflows, particularly HubSpot
  • Some experience with Retool would be desirable
  • Prior experience with BI/Analytics is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of REST conventions
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
