Job responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, including functional analysis, design, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support
- Create high-quality, scalable applications using declarative and configuration-driven development
- Work closely with other team members in sales, customer support, and marketing departments to translate business requirements into effective tools within Salesforce
- Integrate Salesforce instances with third-party SaaS applications, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and data warehousing
- Develop and execute QA, testing, documentation, and debugging of applications
- Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot bugs, and fix them as and when required
- Configure and customize the Salesforce.com platform
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer
- Proficient with Apex programming language, Visualforce markup language, and Lightning Component Framework
- Experience with various Salesforce platforms or CRM software (SugarCRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SAP, SalesLogix, etc.)
- Expertise in core front-end web technologies including HTML5, Javascript, and jQuery
- Experience in converting business needs into Salesforce applications
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with relational databases, data migration, data modeling, and ETL tools
- Experience with Agile development methodologies like SCRUM/XP
- Experience with web services (XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, etc.)
