Job description
Job responsibilities
- Participate in creating detailed and insightful BI reports as well as business analysis models
- Assist in building KPI scorecards, dashboard, and visual reports
- Work with Power BI desktop to write DAX queries
- Research, recognize, and implement new approaches to translate data into thorough visually interactive reports
- Develop multidimensional and tabular models following data warehouse standards
- Implement technical changes to existing BI systems in order to improve the workability of the systems
- Connect data sources, transform, and import data
- Identify and resolve data reconciliation and data quality issues
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience working as a Power BI developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Hands-on expertise working with BI tools such as Power BI, SAP, and Tableau
- Extensive working experience with Microsoft BI stack
- Well-versed with data analytics and data warehousing environments
- Solid knowledge of databases, web service design, and development
- Working experience with MS SQL Server, reporting services, integration services, and TSQL scripting
- Knowledge of data modeling, data transformations, data visualization, DAX queries, and data architecture
- Fluency in English to ensure smooth communication with internal/external teams/stakeholders
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Ability to handle complex problems independently/with minimum supervision
- Strong command over SQL and Java programming
- Familiarity with BI concepts like ETL design, analytics, and reporting
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
