Job responsibilities
- Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect the information, network infrastructure, and computer systems
- Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture
- Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to the management
- Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
- Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions
- Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures
- Plan, develop, implement and update the company’s information security strategy
- Educate and train the staff on information system security best practices
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Hands-on experience in Java, Python, and C++
- Demonstrable experience in Cloud, preferably AWS
- Proficiency in working with Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, or Apache Lucene
- Prolific knowledge of Internet security issues, cloud architectures, and threat landscape
- Comprehensive knowledge of web protocols, common attacks, and in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools
- Technical experience with Linux and Windows operating systems is nice to have
- Proven track record of building network security systems such as firewalls, unified threat management, and virtual private network technologies
- Demonstrable experience with Digital Forensics, SOAR, and SIEM platforms
- Solid experience in security architecture and engineering, communication, and network security
- Good working experience in the cybersecurity industry
- Fluency in English to ensure smooth communication with international teams/stakeholders
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4-hour overlap with the US time zone
Preferred skills
- Experience in distributed systems design and large-scale data processing
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure
- Experience in Apache Lucene and Linux is a plus
- Ability to prioritize projects
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
