System Administrator

A U.S.-based company that is leveraging the latest technologies to help build world-class academic medical centers across the country, is looking for a System Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for certificate installations and renewals. The company strives every day to provide the best patient care, education, and research through an academically integrated culture. This will be a part-time position. The company has managed to secure $7.8mn+ in funding so far. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain computers and servers in research
• Take ownership of Validation testing
• Oversee failback and failover testing
• Encourage and maintain Server installations and upgrades
• Maintain products over the duration of their entire lifecycle

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Prolific experience and knowledge working with System Administration
• In-depth knowledge of public and private infrastructure and technologies
• Extensive working knowledge of public and private clouds (not just one type), with the private cloud running on both Linux and Windows
• Strong awareness of network security and the public web
• Thorough familiarity with SysAdmin
• Prior knowledge of automating the validation, fallback, and failover testing processes
• Nice to have some prior experience creating, linking, and maintaining entries in CMDB and Service Catalog
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to independently approach various people and execute tasks
• Fluent in spoken and written English
