Job description

A US-based company that provides online music learning services, is looking for a Senior Full-stack Developer. The developer will help lead buildout of the company’s product. The company’s mission is to empower music educators to make music education more fun, efficient, and affordable. The firm has managed to raise $2.8mn in funding so far. The application connects students with experienced instructors for one-on-one video chat music lessons. This will be an excellent opportunity for developers  to collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to building a world-class software platform. It requires some time overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead application development, maintenance, and support related tasks
  • Work alongside different project stakeholders for delivering required solutions
  • Lead end-to-end project development lifecycle 
  • Work on designing, implementing, and maintaining web service APIs
  • Find and locate efficiency bottlenecks and resolve system limitations
  • Develop clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable codes
  • Take charge of designing and building secure and scalable software applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack developer
  • Proficient with React and Ruby on Rails
  • In-depth knowledge of complex code bases, and version control systems like Git
  • Ability to communicate with confidence with fluency in English
