Senior Python Data Scientist

A U.S.-based company that specializes in improving the safety of large-scale AI systems by creating cutting-edge research and safety solutions, is looking for a Senior Python Data Scientist. The selected candidate will be responsible for clearly explaining the reasoning behind their code in Jupyter notebooks. The company aims to guarantee that the revolutionary potential of artificial intelligence (AI) benefits all people by utilizing its capabilities to create a more favorable future for the coming generations. The company has managed to secure more than $2.6bn in funding so far. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Showcase a strong business sense combined with data analytic abilities to identify the key questions to ask from the dataset, provide clear answers, and explain the key findings
• Write effective, high-quality Python code to solve problems
• Debug code and produce thorough documentation
• Conduct code reviews with peers and offer helpful criticism
• Utilize open datasets (such as Kaggle, the UN, the US government, etc.) to formulate and respond to important business questions using your data analytic skills
• Effectively communicate with researchers to grasp their needs and share their findings

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist
• 2+ years of experience working with Python programming
• Demonstrable experience working with Data Analysis
• Familiarity with SQL is nice to have
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding communication abilities to work with researchers and stakeholders in an efficient manner
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and conversational
