Job description

A fast-growing company that is powering the new age of subscription e-commerce with their robust technology is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer. The engineer must be product-oriented and will be in charge of growing the company’s best-in-class subscription product. The company’s merchant-centric approach eliminates frequent frictions in customer-brand subscription engagements. The company has managed to raise more than $3.8 mn during their Seed round of funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team of top engineers to collaborate and develop tools and features that help the company’s merchants and their customers
  • Develop products with a builder mentality and eagerly work towards making an immediate impact
  • Work with a solution-oriented, collaborative attitude and an eye for detail
  • Develop new full-stack features and components 
  • Propose out-of-the-box solutions that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable 
  • Maintain a cohesive, well-engineered code base in a code review environment 
  • Champion engineering improvements through process development, architectural optimizations, and tech debt paydown
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to improve platform performance 
  • Be adaptable to changes in product requirements and business needs and work proactively to increase productivity 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience building robust full-stack features with iterative deliverables 
  • Extensive experience in PHP, Node.js, and Laravel 
  • Prolific experience in Vue.js, Python, and Django 
  • Demonstrable experience using databases in MySQL and PostgreSQL 
  • Experience in Cloud infrastructure in GCP or AWS 
  • Familiarity with Shopify e-commerce APIs 
  • Experience with PHPUnit or other unit/integration testing frameworks 
  • Experience with monitoring, system health, and troubleshooting production issues 
  • Nice to have experience with tooling such as New Relic or Datadog
  • Experience benchmarking, debugging, and monitoring systems pre- and post-deploy
  • Prior experience with RESTful APIs and concepts
  • Experience in serverless architectures/frameworks 
  • Ability to learn additional skills and/or technologies as the products continue to scale
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL and e-commerce at a seed-stage startup 
  • Working experience with Git and version control best practices, code-based CI/CD tools and deploying code to production 
  • Experience with operations, i.e., capacity planning, incident response, security scanning
  • Fluent in conversational and written English
