Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a well-established online learning platform by utilizing world-class technologies, is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Golang/React Engineer. The engineer will be expected to keep their attention on quality and improve their work incrementally while launching large-scale web applications. The company is creating a live learning platform that connects instructors and learners to provide on-demand, specialized instruction for any subject. During their Series C round, the company has managed to secure $105mn+ in funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST/EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write readable, maintainable, performant, and well-documented code
  • To properly verify the validity of your code, create automated tests
  • Participate in your team's on-call rotation and be responsible for the entirety of the code, from development to deployment to operations
  • Be prepared to learn from some of the top professionals in the field when you arrive
  • Work independently and with others in a quick-thinking team environment
  • Work well in a collaborative setting with other engineers, product management, and design

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Prolific experience working with React, Golang, and AWS
  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is nice to have
  • Prior experience with deployment systems (e.g. GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy).
  • Strong familiarity with AWS Services like RDS, Lambda, EC2, etc.
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system and command-line tools
  • Understanding of OO design, algorithms, and data structures
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new languages and technologies as necessary
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
