Job description

A U.S.-based company creating a live learning platform that connects learners and professionals for tailored training to achieve any goal is looking for a Senior Full-Stack, Back-End-Heavy Developer. The developer will be tasked with improving the team's processes and tools to support more architectural and coding aspects. Users can obtain highly personalized, fast, and incredibly convenient instruction from the company's carefully selected tutors. The company has managed to raise more than $100mn during its Series C round of funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST and EST time zones. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bring in new engineering concepts and analytics techniques to aid in process improvement
  • Increase the quality of engineering standards, tools, and procedures
  • Create and maintain reusable and efficient code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality goods
  • Create stacks that are scalable, efficient, and well-documented

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of React and Node.js
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and AWS
  • Be conversant with content management systems (CMS) and SEO
  • Knowledge of Paid Search and Marketing
  • Proficiency in English
