Job description

A fast-growing startup creating virtual spaces that empower remote, distributed, and hybrid teams to connect globally through innovative video, audio, and chat integrations, is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will join the team and work with teammates across the world in both front and back-end development. The core team is focused on using data and experimentation to ascertain ideal ways to improve user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Candidates who are passionate about building outstanding features from conception to release in a data-driven environment are suitable for the job.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Be innovative in solving technical problems and comfortable with creating new, cutting-edge solutions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to solve customers' difficulties in quick iterations
  • Work on all parts of the tech stack to design robust, testable systems as specified to help bring the platform to life
  • Document the codebase, and engage in knowledge sharing with the rest of the team
  • Focus on writing clear, readable, testable, and monitored code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • 3+ years experience in a web or distributed systems development
  • Proficiency with HTML5/CSS, Typescript, JavaScript and React, or other equivalent front-end frameworks 
  • Solid development experience with responsive Single Page Applications 
  • Expertise in Firebase Firestore or other equivalent NoSQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and MySQL)
  • Capable of modeling and designing intuitive and scalable schemas
  • Solid understanding of software design techniques and design patterns
  • Relevant working knowledge with API design and architecture
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Familiarity with Typescript on Node.js working in the back-end is a plus
  • Experience with scalability and programming new features and systems in game environments is a plus
  • Ability to take full ownership of responsibilities, a good sense of humor, and a down-to-earth personality
  • Capable of working well in a small team, with high accountability and reliability
  • Sound organizational and excellent communication skills
