Job description

A leading residential brand based in the US and bridging the gap between technology and real estate with their innovative solutions is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for driving the company’s core product forward by utilizing sustainable and scalable solutions to resolve complex, multi-faceted issues. The company provides customers with affordable traditional apartments and has so far raised over $100 mn in global venture capital investment. It has become a trusted brand through intelligent design and quality property management powered by tech. This will be a full-time role and requires 5+ hours overlap with the EST time zone. It is an exciting opportunity for developers to contribute to a great cause and build quality residential solutions that bring positive change to the world’s rental housing crisis.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work actively on the core product, including front-end, testing, APIs, integrations, and backend services
  • Maintain good working relations with the product managers, stakeholders, and designers, fostering deep empathy with the end-user
  • Scale projects to completion by resolving complex issues, design, spec writing, mentoring, and writing simplified code 
  • Offer mentorship to other engineers on the team
  • Maintain and grow the engineering culture and values that are beneficial to the whole team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as JavaScript, Go, or Java
  • Prolific experience in web application development using JavaScript and other front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Familiarity with the different testing phases 
  • Solid understanding of programming patterns, software development principles, and domain-driven design
  • Strong communicator, collaborator, and relationship builder
  • The ability to split large, complex projects into small and individual pieces
