Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a machine-learning platform to make it simple for non-programmers to transform text data into insights, is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of defining and improving the organization’s on-premises and cloud infrastructure. When working on intricate, probabilistic graphical models and deep learning systems, the company's unmatched interactive machine learning platform enables cooperation between data science teams and subject matter experts within their own organization. The company has managed to secure $6.5m+ in funding so far. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create database code that is efficient at managing trillions of data points
  • Willing to share examples of your well-designed, clean code, and having experience working with a variety of contemporary development frameworks 
  • Provide aesthetically pleasing user interfaces
  • Develop effective listening skills, and then answer appropriately and with respect
  • Create an efficient, horizontally scalable deep learning architecture
  • Implement and promote best practices and principles for efforts involving test automation and microservices
  • Build a small and effective data structure
  • Create new features and experiences from conception to completion throughout our stack
  • Collaborate closely with front-end engineers to solve complex interface problems and swiftly meet the demands of machine learning experts for big data

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • 6+ years of experience working with back-end technologies and development
  • 2+ years of experience with front-end development
  • Demonstrable experience with JavaScript, Python, Docker, Docker Swarm, and TypeScript
  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Microservices, and Continuous Deployment (CD)
  • Familiarity with frameworks like Express, Angular 8+, RxJS, Mocha, and Chai
  • Prolific experience working with On-Premise, AWS, and GCP
  • Demonstrable experience delivering on both architectural and feature roadmaps while working closely with product owners
  • Prior working knowledge of both unit and integration testing automated deployments
  • Strong background in developing and managing distributed microservices; proficient in using Docker to debug and monitor live production setups
  • Understand how to differentiate between and when to use the Lean and Agile techniques
  • Track record of prioritizing a variety of issues and acting to seize opportunities or avoid issues
  • Use effective listening skills and respond appropriately
  • Adopt continuous integration (CI) and DevOps best practices
  • Prior experience working at a rapidly expanding, high-growth company
  • Excellent conversation and written English communication skills
