Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that is manufacturing and distributing state-of-the-art electric vehicles to usher a better future for the coming generations, is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be mostly working on back-end platforms that support customer apps, while also tackling some front-end tasks. The company is helping customers to reduce their carbon footprint by shifting the planet’s energy and transportation systems entirely away from fossil fuel. The company has managed to secure more than $11bn in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in DevOps efforts to release the application to various environments as needed
  • Take advantage of automation to remove obstacles and meet deadlines
  • Create and implement back-end code utilizing Python Lambdas, AWS Services, and DynamoDB NoSQL databases
  • Using React.js and TypeScript, create and implement front-end code and algorithms
  • Work together to define application features with cross-functional teams such as QA testing, technical product management, and UI/UX design teams
  • Build, test, and release sophisticated, mission-critical full-stack applications for software that are used both internally and externally
  • Ensure the team adheres to sound software architecture principles
  • Actively participate in code and design reviews, and execute unit testing to produce software that is of a high caliber

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • 5+ years of experience building custom solutions or applications
  • Prolific experience working with React, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda
  • Demonstrable experience with JavaScript/ES6, React, or other JS frameworks
  • Extensive experience working with HTML5, SASS/LESS, RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP
  • Proficient understanding of back-end languages and technologies like Node.js, Python, and GraphQL
  • Solid grasp of cloud services including AWS Services, Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, SNS/SQS, StepFunctions, and EventBridge
  • In-depth knowledge of database technology like DynamoDB
  • Excellent awareness of privacy, authentication, authorization, and caching issues
  • Prior unit testing and test-driven development experience
  • Familiarity working with systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis In-depth knowledge of Agile development of accessible software tools
  • Demonstrable experience developing distributed systems at scale that can process millions of transactions per second
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
