Job description

A rapidly-growing online furniture auction site that enables consumers to acquire the best bargains on overstock, returned, vintage, and used home furnishings, is looking for a Senior Full-Stack, Front-End-Heavy Developer. The selected candidate will be collaborating with product and engineering teams to build scalable engineering solutions. The platform is used to search the internet and bid on new and used furniture that has been returned or overstocked by customers at incredible costs. The company has managed to raise $8 mn+ in funding so far. This will be a long-term, full-time role and an exciting opportunity for developers who enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify the application bottlenecks and fix bugs 
  • Continuously discover and implement new technologies in the applications 
  • Develop and maintain several aspects of production systems
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or front-end developer
  • Extensive experience working with CSS with modern rules, HTML, jQuery, and SASS
  • Some experience with Python (Django) and Heroku is nice to have
  • Comfortable being a team player with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
